Bob Agonistes by John Crutchfield

A comedy in one-act based upon the somewhat counter-intuitive dramatic premise that a guy suddenly and for no apparent reason starts getting everything he wants, Bob Agonistes premiered as part of the New Play Festival (“Smoke & Mirrors: Part III: The Revenge”) at Appalachian State University in 2005. The play was directed by Inga Draper, with Hilary Edwards as Stage Manager, and starring Andy Baird as “Bob,” Desiree Ricker as “Linda”/”Betty,” Mindy Wilson as “Mom,” Justin Attkisson as “Mr. Bigge,” and Wesley Dixon as “Dave”/”Reporter”/”God.”
